Century of Experience

SkySentry technologists have over a century of personal experience with aerospace, HALE and space operations, as well as associations with companies and agencies at the leading edge of HALE development.  Specific categories of experience include:

  • Designing concepts of operations (CONOPS) for space-like support for customers.  Our past work has included designing CONOPS for HALE and medium altitude vehicles, aircraft, missiles, satellite constellations, space ground stations, and tactical r_d_pic_smdown links.
  • Development of enabling subsystems for HALE vehicles, e.g. fabrics, power systems, propulsion, guidance, and payloads. SkySentry is leading a team of academia and industry to advance these technologies.
  • Communications & Surveillance Architecture analysis. SkySentry has developed the tools to characterize behavior of vehicles, payloads, and multiple vehicle arrangements--including layered architectures from the surface to satellite orbit to accomplish a wide variety of geosensing and communications functions.
  • Trade studies on vehicle mixes, uses, and design factors, as well as optimization.
  • HALE networked communications systems.
  • HALE electro-optical infrared and hyperspectral surveillance systems.
  • Persistent station keeping concepts.
  • Hybrid (Heavier + Lighter-than-air) vehicle research and development.
Returnable HALE Unmanned Aerial Vehicle

SkySentry is leading a consortium of small companies to develop a small returnable HALE unmanned aerial vehicle, named HiSentry.  This Artist's Depiction is not an accurate representation of the proprietary design.
